The Full Picture
If you are filling a 4-bay NAS, the Red Plus 12TB is the drive we spec by default: CMR recording (safe for RAID), vibration sensors for multi-drive enclosures and a workload rating that covers constant writes. Pair four in RAID 5/6 and you have ~36TB usable with redundancy. At ~$44/TB it is the sweet spot of the Red line — the Red Pro costs more for features home users rarely need.
Bottom Line
The default 12TB NAS drive for home servers — WD Red Plus WD120EFGX.
