The Full Picture
When you are editing 4K footage or copying a 100GB game library, drive speed matters: the T9 hits 2,000 MB/s over USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 — double the old T7 — and encrypts everything with AES 256-bit hardware, so a lost drive is not a data breach. The aluminum shell survives a 3-meter drop. 5,100+ ratings and 3,000+ sold last month make it the category’s volume leader. Two terabytes is the capacity to buy in 2026.
Bottom Line
The fastest mainstream portable SSD — Samsung T9 2TB at 2,000 MB/s.
